Hidden in plain sight, off Thika Road, along Garden Estate Road, is this gripping Hotel by the name Castle Gardens Ltd.
Indeed, it is true to state that Kenya is one big kimberlite waiting for the diamonds to be extracted. In other words, there are a lot of beautiful places in Kenya waiting to be to visited, seen and experienced, and one such place is Castle Gardens.

Its roomy premises and variety of services makes taking a trip down here worth your while.

.
So what is offered at Castle Gardens?
EVENTS/PARTIES/MEETINGS VENUE
Have an event or a party to throw but no venue in mind? That is where Castle Gardens comes in handy . And guess what? No charges on the venue. All you have to pay for is the food and drinks to be consumed during your party, and you are sorted.
At the time of my visit, a total of 16 events/parties were on going. These ranged from a couple of baby showers, birthday parties, graduation parties and the likes.

There are a number of permanent gazebos around the premises with beautiful well maintained lawn surrounding them.
Some of the gazebos are also positioned by the poolside. Celebrating your special event by the poolside, how cool is that?

And if your group capacity is too big for any of the gazebos, worry not. Tents can be set up for you with all the necessities (tables, chairs etc) to make your event successful.

Reservation of space for your event is done by depositing 50% of the cost of your buffet in advance. The balance should be cleared either prior or on the date of the event/party.
The standard buffet is offered at Kshs 1,200 and it includes 2 proteins, 3 starches, 1 vegetable, soda/water, soup of the day, salad, and fruit.

More items can be included in your buffet at an additional cost on request. For more information on this, contact management directly through Telephone number 0704521017.
NB: Castle Gardens is not only for advance booked events. Walk in customers are also welcomed.
The Restaurant near the Butcher’s Corner/Butchery offers breakfast, buffet lunch, and dinner.

While still on the food subject, it is worthy to mention that Castle Garden does offer full mbuzi (whole goat) at a cost of Kshs 15,000. Customers get to choose two ways they would like the same to be prepared; for instance fried, wet fry, stew, grilled etc.
.
SWIMMING

Castle Garden has a sizeable swimming pool where you can take a dip at a cost of Kshs 500 for adults and Kshs 300 for children.
The pool area has this serene feel to it which makes it an ideal location to relax at.

Right next to the main pool is a baby pool for the toddlers to enjoy.
.
BAR/PUB
The bars/pubs in this premises are fairly stoked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The price of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soda, delmonte etc ranges from Kshs 100 to 350.

The alcoholic drinks offered range from wines (Kshs 1,500 to Kshs 2,500), to both international and local beers (Kshs 220 to Kshs 250), whisky (Kshs 4,500 to Kshs 6,500, rum (Kshs 2,000 to Kshs 3,000), liqueur( Kshs 1,800 to Kshs 4,500), and vodka.

What was however baffling at the time of my visit was the lack of a Menu indicating the commodity offered and its price. So you have to keep asking the waiters and bartenders if they have something in stock and what its price at all times, unless you are a regular and you know all this by heart.
.
CAR WASH
Even cars need some pampering.
As you relax or party away in Castle Gardens, your car can simultaneously be undergoing washing, vacuuming, buffing, or polishing at the car wash in the premises.

There is also no crime in just driving in for the car wash services alone.

See the cost for the various services offered below.

.
ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation rooms in Castle Gardens are all double rooms. At Kshs 3,500 per night you can secure a room here. For bed and breakfast, it cost Kshs 4,500.
Check in is at anytime. However as per company policy, check out is at 10.00am.
.
PARKING
The first thing you see after walking/driving into Castle Garden is the large unpaved parking lot.

And guess what? No parking fees is charged.
.
FURTHER THINGS TO NOTE

There is Mpesa agent services offered in the premises.
There is also the option of paying for services rendered through Lipa na Mpesa, such as at the Car Wash, as well as for the buffet.

Uber/Bolt and the likes
Public Means– If starting your journey from Nairobi CBD, board any Matatu (public transport minibus) plying the route along Thika Road. These Matatus can be found along Ronald Ngala Road, or along Tom Mboya Street near Odeon. The fare is dependent with the Matatu you will board, the maximum being Kshs 100. Alight at Roasters. Board the bodabodas (motor cycles) you will find at Roasters, to Castle Gardens at around Kshs 50.
